Hehe, I've been a bit sneeky and slipped the caption comp in ASCUK thrusting the event even further into their consiousness. Laughed at most, puzzled by Warren's - but what's new!!

I've asked the snapman what it would cost for free refreshments during the day, I'll let you know the outcome.

Regardless, can we agree on a

Awesome pics
my thoughts were to have them on the background to the Arnhem section of the mian site, perhpas an 'arnhem gallery' taster to get people ion the mood.

Maybe a slide show withthe sotry of the battle running below it, i dont know i'm not technical perosn but i think if we can make a good splash page type thing for the Arnhem event, perhaps an arnhem skin for the forum?

Whatever is not too much trouble, i think if we doctor my hair n photshop we could get some of these on WWII re-enacting as well in the events section to try and sway some more.

I definalty would liek to use pics of all six players kit at some point on the site with arrows to each item saying hoiw much and where form

I left the BotB book on the booking table at the Bulge, I've no idea how many people had a flick through . Certainly a few pics on a board would be good, as ever though up to Daves goodwill on this one .

I'm incredibly impressed, im also hoping 'resitance' will give guys a chance to play wihtout kit.

One idea guys how do we feel about one or two OSS/SOE but only with organisers approval, that sway if we have one or two guys who *only* can do US kit but we want them on board they can reperesent parachuted in agents?

And i mean one or two only and they are given *very* demanding jobs liek get captured on purpose, escape and steal stuff or similar....

This is yours & Yith's shout, if you think it OK then it's fine with me.

I suspect we may struggle to get 60 (but wouldn't that be great) but I'm 100% confident that we will exceed the minimum number.

BTW, can we get agreement on

I'd keep it simple , and also see how it goes We have people buying kit just for this event, the only SOE agent I would allow at the mo would be Steve if he wanted to do so. I like the idea of the DRW but keep the rules around them easy for all to understand , otherwise it'll get bollaxed too quickly. i suspect most of them will just want to fight .

BTW got this from Gucci

Hola

I would love to attend. I would have to check through you guys if thats ok though as it is at Phoenix. I fell out with Steve last time I played there and I believe he is now back. Might wanna chat with Yith and Chomley too see if it's ok.

I will ok course be playing along side youself as a German.

No worries on the mortars, when every you can chief.

Cheers

Gucci

Hi Gucci

We the WWII boys thought we'd like to invite you to be our guest to play at the upcoming Arnhem event, as a thanks for all the help at the Bulge. If you can make it please let me know and a space on the side of your choosing is yours. Details of the event can be found by following my sig strip .

Cheers

Guy & the others.

Ps have not forgotten about the mortars just been busy , hopefully will get them together for the end of next month latest .

Ah the problems of politics, I'm sure it'll be ok , I'll get Yith and Chomley to have a chat . Meanwhile I'll bung ya down on the booking thread .
cheers
Guy

Can Yith or Chomlety get back to him and confirm that PU will not give a monkeys if he's there or not .

He he, a new strapline perhaps

All cool...

Chomley is best to check that Gucci is okay to go... I have no direct contact with Phoenix...

Steve for SOE is fine... let him hand pick anyone else he needs...

BTW... I've been exceptionally busy tonight preparing my uniform for sunday (bulling boots and ironing) and looking after the little-un... I'm out tomorrow night... sorry I've not been around!

I have PM'd Gucci reassuring him.

I also had a major bust up with him (long story - one of the many reasons he was kicked out) - Grogan has told me that Steve won't be a marshal if I say so. I would rather not bear grudges but it's not a problem to do so (I am mindful that Major is another one Steve has pissed off).
